Fifth graders begin stepping into leadership by reading books to their kindergarten reading buddies and setting an example to younger elementary students. Fifth grade is also a major step forward for budding musicians as they begin Band. 

Students with prior instrumental experience can audition for the Advanced Band. If they make it, they’ll be allowed to attend the Advanced Band’s trip to Disneyland where students take a workshop coached by Disney Production directors and record a Disney score in a studio. Oh—and go on a few rides!
