What are typical school hours?


Middle School: 8:20am- 3:15pm Elementary School: 8:30am-3:15pm Preschool (Full Time): 8:30am-3:00pm (flexible drop off and pick up times) Infants: 7:45am - 5:15pm Before and After School Care is Available: 6:45am-6pm (for an additional fee) *Before and After School Care is not available for Infants.




Does City Tree provide the option of Hot Lunch?


Yes, parents can order hot lunch daily for their child or bring a sack lunch. Top Notch School Lunches strives to serve your child a hearty, healthy meal which includes a fruit or vegetable and water with every entree. For more information about our Hot Lunch Program, click here.




Does our family have to be Christian or attend church to enroll at City Tree?


While it is important for parents to be comfortable with a Christian worldview and perspective being taught at City Tree, parents and students are not required to profess Christianity or attend a local church.




Is City Tree affiliated with a local church?


Yes, City Tree is a mission of First Presbyterian Church of San Diego. The church and school utilize the same building, and some events and activities are attended by members of both the church and school. To learn more about First Presbterian Church of San Diego, check out fpcsd.org.




Do City Tree students wear uniforms?


Students in preschool do not wear uniforms. Students in Kindergarten through 8th grade wear uniforms either from our uniform vendor or from another vendor with similar styles.




Where do I park and is parking free?


To receive free parking, please bring your license plate number into the office and register your vehicle. There are two free lots available to the families of our students and those visiting the school. Lot 1 is on the NE corner of 3rd Avenue and Elm Lot 2 is a narrow lot between 2nd and 3rd Avenue just South of Elm. *The lot on the SW corner of 3rd Avenue and Elm is a paid lot. There is signage in the lots indicating that the space is for First Presbyterian Church and City Tree. How do I register my vehicle? Write down your license plate number and enter it into the kiosk in the school office. Where is the School Entrance? The entrance to City Tree is on 3rd Ave between Elm and Date. GPS Location: 1745 3rd Avenue for school entrance gate and ramp




How do I stay informed about school activities and events?


City Tree produces a weekly newsletter with helpful information about everything going on at our school. Simply subscribe to the newsletter and read it weekly to be in the know. Subscribe to our newsletter now. In addition, Preschool parents receive regular updates and pictures from their child's teacher using the childcare app, Brightwheel.




How can I help support City Tree?


Those who are interested in supporting City Tree can get invovled by volunteering, working with our community partners or donating funds to scholarships, to fund special music, science or technology ventures or giving to our general fund. Is there a wait list for Infants, and if so, how do I get on the list?


Yes, we do currently have a wait list for our infant program. In order to join the wait list, we request that parents schedule a tour. Book a Tour Now.
