By third grade, City Tree students are confident engaging in the many opportunities provided by the school to explore San Diego. They love doing P.E. at Balboa Park and lean in during field trips to Classics for Kids and the Civic Center. 

They continue growing as artists, Spanish speakers, and musicians as they advance in each subject. Third graders also start learning about the building blocks of novels and are old enough to do special book related activities—like creating a chocolate factory when studying Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
