The City Tree Tribune is published every 6-8 weeks by a talented group of reporters. Staff writers must be in 3rd-6th grades, have good grades, and outstanding behavior. Job duties include attending weekly meetings during lunch, brainstorming ideas, writing articles, interviewing students and staff, publishing the paper using the computer, printing, and delivering the paper. There is an orientation meeting each year in early October. Although no charge applies for this enrichment activity, students who commit to being on the newspaper staff are required to take their job seriously. This is a wonderful opportunity for students who enjoy writing, are interested in journalism, and desire an additional challenge.
